Founded as Dirmar Enterprises in 2001, our humble beginnings started off as a small bakery geared at manufacturing basic fresh bread for the food service industries. 

Driven by our passion for excellence, our vision from day one was to provide the best possible quality, complimented by excellent customer service and respectable business ethics. Little did we know at the time, these basic fundamentals would serve us well for many years.

Over the past 20 years we’ve managed to stand against the test of time by continuously looking for new market shares and growth opportunities by investing in people, equipment and innovation. As a result of our driven growth and forward thinking strategies, Mello Foods has become one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of wholesome value added baked goods. Our distribution network has no bounds, from a picnic on the banks of the Zambezi to a comforting warm pie on the shores of Luderitz, we are always ready to serve our Nation.

Mello Foods is one of the pioneers of local food safety development. By working closely with local authorities, we have achieved one of the highest food safety ratings in Namibia for our industry and pride ourselves in constantly improving our programs and environment.

Our products are made in advanced factories according to our strict FSQM (Food Safety Quality Management) guidelines using HACCP as the backbone of new developments.

 

Our responsibility goes far beyond the walls of our facility. Keeping our carbon footprint in mind, we serve our community and environment by reducing waste and developing eco friendly policies to help preserve our beautiful country.
