Mello Foods was originally founded in 2001 as Dirmar Enterprises, as small bakery geared at supplying basic fresh bread to the food service industries.
Our vision from day one was to provide the best possible quality, complimented by our excellent customer service. Little did we know at the time, that these basic fundamentals would serve us well for many years to come.
Over the past 17 years we’ve managed to stand against the test of time by continuously looking
for new market shares and growth by investing in people, equipment and innovation. Being a primary supplier of commodity and value added goods, we’ve been able to adapt to tough economic times and the ever changing consumers market by maintaining open policies and constant inward investment.
Mello Foods's mission statement is to provide products of the greatest possible value to our customers, thereby gaining and holding their respect and loyalty while achieving sufficient profit to finance our company and its growth.
Our first responsibility is to our customers, without which there would be no company. We cater to our customers in a professional manner by offering quality merchandise, competitively priced and delivered with courtesy and professionalism.

Health and Environment
Mello Foods is one of the pioneers of local food safety development. We have achieved one of the highest food safety ratings in Namibia for our industry and pride ourselves in constantly improving our programs and environment.
Our products are made in a controlled factories according to our strict GMP (Good Manufacturers Practices) guidelines using HACCP as the backbone of new developments.
Our responsibility goes far beyond the walls of our facility. Keeping our carbon footprint in mind, we serve our community and local conservation by reducing waste, recycling and donating to local wildlife sanctuaries.
Our mission is to protect and improve the reputation and wholesomeness of the products and services we provide, as well as the sales and brand equity of our company and our business partners.
